The creation of this web site and the recording of my cd were inspired by the words and music of Canada’s own Neil Young. While still in my teens I first became aware of Neil Young when I was introduced to the “Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere” album. Immediately I was captured by his unique vocal styling, as well as the poetic hard driving sound of his music.
Tribute to Mr. Young’s Music
I've been asked if I consider myself a "Neil Young Impersonator". I always answer the question by stating, "There is only one Neil Young and I would not be honouring either him or his music by trying to 'impersonate' him." Although I’ve covered eleven songs of Mr. Young’s on my cd, I’ve also included five of my own compositions. My vocal styling, although similar in tone to Mr. Young’s, is still unique in its own way, not unlike the unique vocals of Neil Young.
