• Who is this person:

Bill Laing is an educator with twenty-five years experience, who resides in a small comminity just outside of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Recently, he has ventured into the field of music and has begun writing and performing in and about his small, but bustling community. His genre of music can best be described as “Folk/Rock” music, that many of us “Boomers” remember back in the sixties and early seventies.

Currently, he has been performing a show that pays tribute to the music of Neil Young, and has just recently finished recording a sixteen song cd. Five of the songs included on the cd are originals, while the remaining eleven are covers of Neil Young’s material. He submitted his compositions to SOCAN, and has just recently become a member.

Bill realizes that at his age most musicians are slowing down and thinking about retirement, but like Mr. Young himself, Bill feels he's only beginning his musical quest.  Who knows where this musical journey will take him, but I’m sure we would all hate to think that one’s dreams, adventures and hopes end in one’s twenties.
